Cutting Gutter
Cutting any kind of Gutter can be difficult if the front and back edge move due
to pushing or pulling of the saw blade. Even with a power saw, movement can
cause a ragged cut. Pictured is a simple jig to hold the gutter steady while
cutting. The jig was made from 3/4" stock with a lengthwise 3/8" deep groove to
hold the front edge and another to hold the back edge. The saw in the picture
is a Bear Saw (BS402P) from Vaughan the
saw is very thin with a special tooth to cut PVC on the pull stroke. The jig
can also be made by tacking strips of wood to a board. |
